Hi folks,
it's been a while since i updated this blog as you can see!
now that that time of year has come around again i'm hoping
that some of you will send me some of your images from this
year so i can keep this blog rolling along. i also hope to
hear from some of you over the coming weeks with stories of
your exploits and the general goings on!
i certainly wish i was there this year - but it will have to
wait until 2005 when all being well i will make a return to
my second home up there in the cyclades.

Sorry folks,
it's been a little while since i posted here but i haven't really
had any news or new photos to post until now.
here are a couple of winter shots for those of you who might
have thought about what Ios would be like in the winter.
Apparently it actually doesn't snow in Ios very often so i
guess you could say these shots are unusual.

Here's a little recipe that we used to call "rocket fuel" in 92.
A couple of us developed it when we were low on funds
late in the season.
one litre bottle of water (empty out about one third)
one hip flask bottle of metaxa
one small tin of coffee
add the contents of the metaxa and the coffee into the
water bottle and shake vigorously until all is mixed
together.
drink slowly (or quickly!!)
the result of this is a buzz that lasts for a few hours
and a feeling that one can conquer the world!!

I'm slowly coming across people who have been to Ios before,
and although it seems that some things have changed, it appears
that the vibe is still there. The action on the beach apparently
isn't quite what is was, but there are forces among us who i'm
sure have plans to rejuvenate the revelry at mylopotas to it's
former glory!

i need some more ios photos to post here - if anyone who reads
this has some nice shots that they may like to share please
send them to me and i will post them.
in the meantime i'm posting this shot not from ios but taken
around two weeks ago at ninety mile beach in victoria (aus).
it reminds me a little of what mylopotas beach used to look like
early in the season before all those umbrella shaped things
arrived on the scene.
