this shot is one of two that i took yesterday not far from tullamarine
airport. if you look carefully to the right you can see one of the grids
which contain lights to guide the planes in to the runway.

yesterday was definately a day to forget!
it rained non-stop all day and even if everyone says we need the rain
badly - it's not much good when you're a motorcycle courier! especially
when you often travel on the freeways near large trucks and other
vehicles that dump water over you just to add to it all. i didn't get
much cover at all for most of the day and by about 2pm i was so wet
through (right through!) and cold that i just raised the white flag and
went home. pretty tough when you need to earn money to pay the
bills. extremes in the weather are one of the worst things about the
job - the other of course is lack of work!
anyway no chance at all to even get the camera out without damaging
it so last night at home i shot a couple of my daughter eating just for
the lack of anything else to shoot. it's wet again today, i just hope that
it's not as bad as yesterday !!

ok - time to get busy with the camera again!!
it's been a couple of days without shooting and that always feels like
too long for me. one thing that doing the PAW over the past couple
of years has done for me, is that it forces you to produce something
for the week. there's plenty of stuff around to shoot - you just have
to look - simple as that. some of my best stuff (probably most of it)
has been shot when i have forced myself to just get the camera out
and really look hard for stuff. make something out of nothing etc.

here are two more shots from the motoGP on saturday.
these were taken at the expo at the track, the second one inside
at the yamaha stand. these guys were all standing around looking
at the new R1. i quickly cranked up the S45 to iso400 (which is as
far as it goes) and grabbed the shot. i haven't checked out the EXIF
but i know the shutter speed was pretty slow so i'm quite pleased
with it.
