Back to school again today and it was the first day of school for
my youngest daughter. the whole family went for this major
event and of course the camera went with us!

While away recently we visited the Buchan Caves.
In the area were a number of kangaroos which in some cases
were quite approachable. I managed to get a number of shots
although the light conditions were very bright, making it very
difficult to get the exposure right.

i'm slowly getting through my holiday images. it is quite
time consuming doing these. mostly i was shooting at
around a half stop under because of the high contrast
sunny weather, i have to do a fair bit of levels adjustment
etc. in PS. here's a few more -

while on holiday recently i revisited an old trestle bridge
about 20kms from lakes entrance. i shot this last year with
an M2 and a Canon G2. this year i have the 10D and i felt
i didn't reallly shoot what i wanted of the bridge last time
so i had another go at it. i believe i have quite a few good
images - here's just a few of them -

a short day trip today with the family resulted in the battery
going flat after only a short time on the 10D. it was the first
time i had not taken a spare one with me! just as well i had
the S45 with me also. i really didn't feel like carrying much
today, so i chose only one lens for the 10D and it was the 85.
i reasoned that if i had the need to shoot wide, the S45 could
cover that.
