today i came across a lane in the city which i have not been in before.
amazing considering i have been a courier for over eight years.
two shots from watson place -

on tuesday night we had what is being referred to as the worst electrical
storm for over 100 years. i woke up several times during the night to see
constant lightning and very loud thunder. so much water fell from the sky
that some were trapped in cars and the hail stones were apparently as
big as tennis balls in some areas. many cars were damaged and many
buildings were flooded. i passed the yarra river yesterday to see a lot of
rubbish floating along the surface. even the front gates to my house which
are remote controlled had opened up - weird eh!

a couple of shots from wednesday -

after a couple of days using my new (to me) motorbike for work,
i find it definately makes my job a lot easier. it soaks up the bumps
and goes up and down the kerbs very easily and just generally makes
each pick-up and drop-off much quicker so i think i can get more done.
hopefully that will mean more money !!
on the photography front - i had a bit of an opportunity to shoot a few
frames today so here's some of them -

it's that time of year again when everyone puts out their "hard rubbish"
for collection by the local council. as you would expect, anything any
good is soon found by passers-by and taken very quickly.
some even go around from street to street searching through the piles
of junk for that hidden treasure. you never know what you might find.
