I've finished my post processing of all the shots from
last weekend. There's quite a large number of them so i
am going to edit them down to perhaps about 24 for a
small gallery which i will set up in pbase soon.

the camera tends to overexpose by as much as 1 stop
so you have to remember to dial that in every time
before shooting!
I will only be using this camera every now and then
as the film is very expensive and you only get 10 shots.

I picked up the SX-70 from being repaired today and ran
my first film through it. It will take a little getting
used to with it's quirks etc.

As you'll notice - i've added a link over on the right
to my other blog which is quite simply the daily or not
so daily goings on of a camera carrying motorcycle courier.

I think i'll drip feed you readers out there with
just a few at a time for the moment. At least then
i'll have something to post for a little while!

So far i've sorted through around 200 or so images
from the weekend. I think these days i'm getting
more keepers than i used to hopefully that means that
i'm improving!
The SX-70 arrived today and of course as luck would
have it, the focusing mechanism is jammed. I tried
taking the front cover off to see if i could do something
with it but it seems like the lens itself is stuck.
Looks like another one for the service technician.

It should be noted that almost all of these shots
that i am posting from the weekend look much much
better at larger sizes than you see here. As a rule
i post all the images here at 600 across which really
doesn't do them justice!

how i go with it. This one will run as usual, and i'm

I'll be posting different stuff to each one, the other
perhaps might have more of the day to day stuff from work
on it.
a few more from the weekend -

i have a lot of stuff to go through from my weekend away
in rural victoria. i shot both film and digital with mainly
the elan/50e and a 20mm f2.8 and the 10D and 85mm f1.8
i will post a few shots here and there as i go through them
over the next few days.
