"ghostrider" -

it was certainly a strange feeling working yesterday!
the streets were almost empty of traffic and there was
reallly only a small amount of work for us to do.
luckily there was only 6 of us working as opposed to the
normal 70 or 80. i was also quite lucky because i seemed
to be in the right place at the right time.
of course there is only so much luck you can have and at
around 4pm in the afternoon i got a flat tyre. i managed
to find a bike shop that could fix it for me and i was back
on my way about 40 mins later.
these shots were taken while waiting for my tyre to be fixed -

my one shot from yesterday.
not very inspiring i'm afraid but here it is all the same -

what a horrible day it was today - 40.3 celcius which is the highest
december temperature for 22 years! i took my camera out of it's
pouch only once today and i haven't had a look at the result yet
so maybe i'll post something a bit later or maybe i won't - we'll see!

some more of our family outing yesterday -

Sunday, December 28, 2003

today i took the family to a property which has a hedge maze,
mini golf and some games like giant checkers. it was about
time we all got out of the house for a while and went somewhere!
i took the 10d with me in the hope of getting something nice.
i did a bit of shooting here and there and while sitting down
enjoying a coffee i noticed that i had shot 68 frames. i didn't
think i had shot that many and by the end of the day it was 79.
i'll post a few of these over the next couple of days.

this shot is of an elderly lady who has spent christmas day
with my family for a number of years now. she is in her 90's
and unfortunately in rapid decline. i posted a shot of her as
a PAW last year at christmas time and may decide tomorrow
to make this shot my final PAW for 2003.
